Workers’ compensation claim involving multiple body parts was denied by the insurance carrier. Following discovery, the insurance carrier agreed to admit the claim and provide treatment. Surgery was ultimately performed. Following treatment, the client received a favorable settlement.

Automobile accident where client represented by another law firm previously. Prior law firm only obtained a recovery against at-fault driver’s liability insurance coverage. The client sustained significant injuries that resulted in years of treatment and substantial lost wages. Investigated possible additional coverages to include underinsured motorist coverage. Automobile accident involving a hit and run wherein at-fault driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene. The insurance carrier initially denied coverage claiming the vehicle had been stolen. Investigated the matter and, with the assistance of the investigating officer, was able to show vehicle was not stolen but rather the owner of the vehicle picked up that at-fault driver after the collision at a nearby business. Recovered the full extent of liability coverage for both personal injury and property damage.

Workers’ compensation claim involving an uninsured employer. Following discovery and litigation, an upstream contractor was determined to be the responsible party. The client was provided much-needed medical care, and a favorable settlement was obtained.

Through discovery, including multiple depositions and document review, we were able to establish likely coverage through an upstream contractor, resulting in a six-figure settlement for our client.
